This year is the first year that we are not going over someone's house for dinner on Thanksgiving. The first year that I am the mom cooking dinner for my family on this day. I am nervous, but SO excited! I have my own to gather together and feed. My dream come true.
Part of our Thanksgiving tradition is saying what we are thankful for that year. I plan on continuing that tradition as the boys get older. There are so many things I am thankful for this year. First and foremost I am ever so thankful to The Lord up above for his endless mercy. For giving me new strength each and every day and for loving me unconditionally. For trusting me to be the mother of these two boys and always guiding me in the right direction.
So much has changed this year. However, I am thankful for our home because our children have a safe place where they stay warm, eat meals and rest at night in. I am thankful for our jobs because without them our boys wouldn't have this wonderful place to call home. They would be missing out on certain things and I am grateful they don't have to.
This year I am thankful for the knowledge I've acquired because knowledge is power! I am thankful for the ability to open my mind to new things and new ideas. For the community I have come to love of mothers who chose to parent in a natural, peaceful and instinctual way. I am thankful for communities such as Birth Without Fear who have taught me so much about who I am and who I want to be. I am ever so grateful for friends. Those who came and went, most of all for those who stayed and those who randomly without any warning became so dear to my heart.
Last, but not least importantly I am thankful for my boys (their daddy included). The man beside me is a blessing and he has been there since day one no matter what comes our way we always come out on top. My sons are my everything. My reason, my inspiration, my push to grind harder. They have taught me so much about life. I am blessed. Every piece of my life has been so worth it this year for every bit has taught me a lesson. I am thankful for the bond my sons share. For the love between them. I am thankful that they will alway have each other's back and for the unconditional love they have towards us.
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your food and the time with your loved ones. Lots of love!
